High school students from diverse communities join the ESTEEM Foundation’s summer global classroom to engage in hands-on environmental building and cleanup initiatives.
During their 1–2 week volunteer experience, students work under the guidance of dedicated chaperones. Local stakeholders provide scholars guidance in order to ensure each project is carried out efficiently and successfully. These young minds also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture and sample authentic cuisine.
At the conclusion of the program, each mentee receives school credit. The program is supported through diverse funding sources, including grants, organized fundraising initiatives, and private contributions.
